The ab Project – a global initiative, to reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles

The ab Project is a global initiative, to reduce the use of single use plastic water bottles. Our reusable alternative bottles (ab) and filtered water station are present at public events, airports and other locations where maximum benefit can be gained in reducing plastic waste. We hold this project very close to heart. Our passion for the environment, particularly the ocean, lakes and streams, makes the ab Project special indeed.

The negative impact the single-use plastic bottle has on our oceans, lakes, rivers and streams is staggering.

On average humans buy an estimated 1,000,000 single-use plastic bottles every minute.

In the USA 23% of those bottles are recycled. The United Kingdom does a much better job with 59% recycled. Americans purchase an estimated 50 billion water bottles per year, averaging 13 bottles per month for every person in the US. In London alone, the average adult purchases an estimated 3 plastic bottles per week, 175 per year per person.

The ab Project is about helping reverse this catastrophic impact on the environment.

The ab Project is about helping reverse this catastrophic impact on the environment whilst benefiting charities and not-for-profits that work to reduce waste on the planet. A percentage of all profits go to such organisations.

The ab Project’s goal is to reduce the consumption of, and the littering caused by, single-use plastic water bottles.
