About Ian

At the age 16 Ian started work in his first business venture with MasterCraft Boats. Eventually he grew the iinternational business and worldwide recognition of the brand in more than 30 countries through the ownership and operation of an independent international business handling all aspects of the MasterCraft operations outside of North America.

This led to developing and expanding many markets where previously none had existed. Being totally immersed in a business that encouraged, supported and facilitated recreational and competitive participation in towed water sports the IWWF awarded Ian the Order of Merit for services to the sport in 2013.

A continued passion to see innovative and progressive business expand both its local and global awareness has led to management, consulting and investments roles in various enterprises across the recreational, property and environmental sectors.

“With time and vision, opportunities abound”

Were you always drawn to the kind of work you’re doing now?

I would say I have always been drawn to creating opportunities. Not all have been successful in the beginning; and some never. But from each I have taken away something inspiring, something that encourages belief in the benefit of stubborn determination. It’s a trait you will see always leads to success.

Is there a particular philosophy that guides your work?

Consider carefully what you are trying to achieve and then put in maximum effort. No one can ask for more. I try to instil this in others, be it in personal or business life, success comes with effort. Sometimes even this is not enough, so know when to change tack and look for alternatives. Then don’t look back.

Time is a resource that is non-renewable and non-transferable. You cannot store it, slow it up, hold it up, divide it up or give it up.
